For evolution, math prof says, the burden of proof is on materialists
University of Texas El Paso mathematics prof (emeritus) Granville Sewell has produced a short video (8:54 min) summarizing his main thesis with respect to evolution:.
Materialists argue that evolution could happen by chance; non-materialists argue that it requires design. He contends here that the Second Law of Thermodynamics shifts the burden of proof in this matter to the materialists:
The Second Law of Thermodynamics states, “A cyclic transformation whose only final result is to transfer heat from a body at a given temperature to a body at a higher temperature is impossible.” – Britannica
This video is extracted from a longer one, “Why Evolution is Different,” (24:01 min/September 1, 2021) produced by David Arabia.
