Did the Covid Rules Play Games with People’s Minds?
The hive mind is hard-wired for many behavioursDuring the great reign of terror post-2020-(circa) 2023, many people lost their jobs, lost many friends, some family members, and ultimately their minds and lives. Those who survived feel the world has changed dramatically.
In the aftermath of this tragic event, even the high priests of the lockdowns and rules admitted that the tyrannical tactics back then proved to be a disaster. But did the men in white coats (“experts” who said: ‘Trust the Science’) play games with our minds in more ways than one?
The Irish writer/podcaster, John Waters, made a very interesting observation. He suggested this in an interview last year, when he spoke about the lunacy of certain rules that bars and restaurants had when entering and sitting or standing in such premises.
He said humans (including animals) are prone to playing games from a young age. And that urge in our collective consciousness could’ve been a motivating factor to people who blindly obeyed the rules. Waters also alluded that those who didn’t abide by the rules (‘games’) were seen as kind of spoil sports, thus ostracised, and not welcome to be around those having ‘fun’.
Think about it: Games also engage players by achieving an award, as well as social interaction, enhancing empathy, thus making one stress-free, less lonely or anxious. For the hive mind, t’s all about ‘fitting in’. Furthermore, in recent times, there has been a surge in adults’ interest in playing children’s games. According to FunNightGames.com:
Play taps into our need to belong and to bond with other people. Whether it’s a board game around the dinner table or a multiplayer video game online, games serve as a powerful tool for strengthening relationships and building communities…Games do more than entertain – they create shared experiences that foster connections between people. From childhood to adulthood, play is ingrained in human nature, and the psychological benefits of playing together are vast. When we engage in games, we enter a unique social space where cooperation, teamwork, and competition blend together. About Us – Fun Night Games
But back to the animal kingdom. We see creatures that remind us that playing games transcends species and serves as a universal trait/behaviour. We get joy out of watching the following animals play: Dogs, cats, birds, foxes, monkeys, et al. Maybe it reminds us of the fun we feel when we play games with each other. In the case of the ‘covid’ rules, theoretically, we witnessed the dark side of games. Remember, an army of psychologists were involved during those dark days.
As for the facemask wearing during those times and other crazy rules in bars, restaurants, and other public places, the requirements were vaccination proof, wearing a mask, and keeping social distance of three feet.
In Ireland when entering a pub or restaurant, one had to wear a mask while standing up, but could take it off sitting down. Ane one had to pay for food/drink no less than approximately nine euro. I didn’t wear a face mask, and when I walked through a store doing my shopping, all the other customers were wearing masks, including babies in pushchairs and the store’s staff. Like most people, I always smile at a baby in a pushchair and they usually smile back. Young children were deprived of doing this natural facial expression during the crisis. We’ll soon learn of the negative effects this will have on children in the coming years.
As for the damage done by the lockdowns: Domestic fighting; over consumption of alcohol; suicides; mental breakdowns; extreme ‘cabin fever’; boredom; 24/7 TV propaganda fear-porn scaremongering, etc.
In her book, The Bodies of Others, Dr Naomi Wolf shows how these forces — from Big Tech and Big Pharma to the CCP and our oligarchical elites — seized upon two years of COVID-19 panic in sinister new ways, to not only undermine our Republic but to fundamentally reorient human relations. Their target is humanity itself:
Their end goal is to ensure that our pre-March 2020 world is gone forever. Irretrievable. To be replaced with a world in which all human endeavour — all human joy, all human fellowship, all human advancement, all human culture, all human song, all human drama, all worship, all surprise, all flirtation, all celebration — is behind a digital paywall. A world in which we will all have to ask technology’s permission to be human. The Bodies of Others: The New Authoritarians, COVID-19 and The War Against the Human by Naomi Wolf | Goodreads
Let us hope that a world with overreaching technology never enslaves or play with our hearts and minds in ways that will pollute the cultures of the once great Western Civilization which is currently in a spiritual war. Coincidently, the only three songs I know with the title including the word ‘games’ in them have negative connotations: “Games People Play”, by Joe South; “Mind Games”, by John Lennon; “The Games People Play”, by The Spinners.
